"Trains, Toons and Toon Trains" is the first episode of Bonkers, though it is actually the 47th in chronological order.

Synopsis

Miranda and Bonkers are sent to escort a criminal, Stiff Lips Sullivan on a train, who knows the location of a stolen jewel cache. A mob couple is also interested in the jewels, but Bonkers eventually misleads them to the police station.

Trivia

• The shot of Bonkers trying to get his hand out of the typewriter and ending up being flung across the room and into the Chief's office door is used in the opening.
• The episode's title is a play on the 1987 film Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
• Dr. Blade is voiced by Matt Frewer.
• Bonkers types in the title.
• Bonkers was in a movie named after Some Like It Hot but with his name replacing that last word.
