Korean dub

드래곤볼 (Deuraegon Bol, lit. "Dragon Ball") is the Korean dub of the Dragon Ball anime airing in South Korea.

Dragon Ball

During the 1980s where South Korea still banned the imports of Japanese media, the Korean dub of the Dragon Ball anime first made by Daewon and was distributed on VHS and aired on Champ TV. Almost all of the Japanese texts were translated into Korean.

The second version was aired on SBS in late 1990s but not much is known.

Dragon Ball Z

The most popular Korean dub of Dragon Ball Z was made by Daewon and was distributed on VHS and aired on Champ TV until 1994 (from Saiyan Saga to Cell Games Saga).

SBS aired another dub in late 1990s/early 2000s but this one ended on Freezer Saga.

Tooniverse in 2000s released uncut dub of all episodes.

Dragon Ball GT

Daewon made VHS dub of the series in late 1990s.

Tooniverse TV aired the series again after Dragon Ball Z, with a new dub.

Dragon Ball Z Kai

Dragon Ball Z Kai aired in Champ TV in 2010s. All episodes were broadcast.

Dragon Ball Super

The Korean dub of Dragon Ball Super aired on Tooniverse TV and Champ TV in mid-late 2010s. All episodes were broadcast.

Movies

In the 1980s, the Dragon Ball films were dubbed in Korean and released exclusively in VHS by Daewon. In the later years, Tooniverse redubbed movies.

Dragon Ball Z movies were dubbed from early 1990s by Daewon. In 2000s, Tooniverse dubbed it again. In 2010s, Daewon made another dub of these movies.

Dragonball Evolution called here Deuraegonbol ebollusyeon hit theaters on March 12, 2009.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly were released on South Korea in 14 February, 2019.

Trivia

  • The series never aired in North Korea, due to the fact that the series never made it there.
