Metal medleys are monsters who appear in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics
Metal medleys are only encountered directly, unlike their Slime stack comrades. The slime stack can be formed by three slimes mid-battle, but metal medleys will never form like this. However, they still act as though they are three metal slimes stacked together. Case in point, it can cast Kerfrizz and gives three times the experience of a standard metal slime.

Etymology
A medley is a musical performance where excerpts of several different pieces are strung together as a single piece without breaks, and the word forms a solid alliteration with "metal".
