Tyrantosaurus is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics
The tyrantosaurus is a T-Rex monster and these towering reptilian tyrants stand well over the top of the tallest man, making them an intimidating sight when encountered deep in the labyrinthine lairs that they love to live in. Wielding worrisome spiked hammers as well as their axes (That they are most relaxed with due to sentimental reasons), they whack and smack/slash away at any intruders before belching out a fiery breath to bath adventurer in frying flames. They also often deal out a desperate attack that severely damage opponents, often doing enough to out-right knock them out of action.

Etymology
"Tyrantosaurus" is a redundant pun, combining "tyrant" with Tyrannosaurus, a genus of carnivorous dinosaurs that includes the T. rex and whose name comes from Greek and Latin for "tyrant lizard".
This monster's Japanese name should not be confused with the Japanese name for Mandrake mangler or Mandrake marauder. This monster's name is written as Doragonsorujā, while Mandrake Marauder's Japanese name merely means "dragon soldier" in English.
