In 1980, she took part in the world championship qualifier at the Whitnash Bowls Club for the 1981 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Canada.[3] After qualifying for the 1981 championships she won two gold medals in the fours with Eileen Fletcher, Mavis Steele, Gloria Thomas and Irene Molyneux and the team event (Taylor Trophy) at the 1981 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Toronto. Four years later she won a bronze medal in the fours.
