Parris Fluellen (born February 12, 1980), better known as Cha Cha and currently Parris Franz,[2] is an American rapper and song writer.

Early life
editCha Cha was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and started rapping at the age of 10.[3] She then attended Cass Technical High School.[4]
Career
editCha Cha signed a deal with Epic Records soon after making guest appearances on the Hav Plenty soundtrack, Shae Jones' Talk Show, and Tash's Rap Life. During her time with Epic, she recorded and released her debut album, Dear Diary. which featured collaborations with artists such as Nas to Juvenile. The album produced the single "New Millennium (What Cha Wanna Do)", which charted on Billboard's R&B chart.[5] Following the release of Dear Diary, Cha Cha appeared on several releases by Royce da 5'9", including his mixtapes Build and Destroy and M.I.C. (Make It Count), as well as his second studio album, Death Is Certain.
Cha Cha has also ventured into acting, taking on lead roles in films such as A Day of Trouble (Jennifer) and supporting roles on both MTV and TNT network series. Additionally, she worked as an on-air personality for Clear Channel and Radio One.[4]
Her television credits include writing and appearing on MTV's The Lyricist Lounge Show. She also acted in roles such as Sasha, a news reporter in Office Outbreak, a dancer in Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming, and a club patron in "Chocolate City. Other notable appearances include Entourage (as a rave promoter), A Day of Trouble (as Jennifer), Meet the Browns (as a patient), Christmas Cupid, and A Cross to Bear (as Tasha) on Lifetime.
In addition to her on-screen work, Cha Cha has performed in numerous films and stage productions. She starred in Soul Kittens Cabaret and played Mari Rodriguez in the stage play A.I.M.: Angry Insecure Men, written and directed by Angel Terron. She later reprised this role in the play's film adaptation. Cha Cha also appeared in notable stage productions such as My Brother Marvin: The Marvin Gaye Story and Afeni Shakur: In Her Defense, a play about Tupac Shakur's mother, directed by Hilda Willis.[2]
Education
editFranz attended Michigan State University where she took acting classes.[2] As of December, 2024, she is listed as a student of the Ivana Chubbuck Studio in Los Angeles.[6]
