Shoemaker Ditch is a stream and tributary of the White River in Fishers, Indiana. The stream is home to many fish including Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Common Carp, and Striped Shiner.[1] A new drainage tunnel is being built to carry water from SR-37 to the creek.[2] However, the stream is primarily man made being not more then a trickle naturally. It was made due to the city's need for drainage as it transitioned from mostly rural land to a suburb. Because of this, it is very important to the city's history and culture.[3][4][5] It is unknown when it was first created.
