English: Route of the supposed pre-Anglian glaciation Bytham River, on a modern topographical map.
It was held (in, for example, Rose J, "Early and Middle Pleistocene landscapes of eastern England", Proceedings of the Geologists' Association, 120 (2009)) that this river existed in the Early and Middle Pleistocence, before being severed by the Anglian glaciation some 450,000 years ago.
The existence of this river has since been challenged.
