Summary

Description
English: Rhodesians who served in King Edward's Horse during the First World War; undated, but somewhere between 1914 and 1919
Date between 1914 and 1919
date QS:P,+1914-00-00T00:00:00Z/8,P1319,+1914-00-00T00:00:00Z/9,P1326,+1919-00-00T00:00:00Z/9
Source National Archives of Zimbabwe. Scanned from McLaughlin, Peter (1980). Ragtime Soldiers: The Rhodesian experience in the First World War; source of image in question given therein as National Archives of Zimbabwe.
Author Not recorded. Probably British Army photographer. I have not seen this photograph elsewhere. Judging from the formative nature of the image it seems to me that the image was either taken officially or by one of the soldiers privately as a memento. The place of first publication seems to be Rhodesia/Zimbabwe.
