Bahasa Indonesia: Trenggiling jawa (Manis javanica) merupakan salah satu satwa yang memiliki risiko kepunahan tinggi. Kepunahan ini terjadi akibat satwa ini diburu dan diperdagangkan secara ilegal untuk dimanfaatkan sisik, hingga organ tubuhnya. Informasi mengenai trenggiling jawa terutama mengenai organ jantung pada saat ini masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui stuktur morfologi dan morfometri organ jantung trenggiling jawa secara makroskopis dan mikroskopis. Pengamatan secara makroskopis dilakukan pada lima organ jantung trenggiling yang terdiri atas tiga jantan dan dua betina. Struktur umum mikroskopis dilakukan dengan pewarnaan hemaktosilin eosin (HE) dan Masson’s trichrome pada tiga preparat organ jantung. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa jantung trenggiling jawa berbentuk oval dengan bagian ujung apex tumpul. Jantung trenggiling jantan lebih bulat dibandingkan dengan betina. Jantung ini dibungkus pericardium yang tipis. Ruang ventriculus sinister lebih luas dengan dinding septum interventriculare yang tebal. Ruang ventriculus dexter lebih sempit dan tidak ditemukan trabecula septomarginalis Hasil pengukuran diperoleh panjang organ jantung trenggiling jawa yang telah difiksasi dengan larutan Bouin adalah 3.60–4.34 cm dengan lebar basis cordis 1.50–2.55 cm, corpus 2.16–3.22 cm, dan apex 1.08–1.45 cm serta berat jantung berkisar 8.32– 19.24 g. Secara mikroskopis dinding jantung trenggiling jawa sama seperti mamalia pada umumnya dengan myocardium yang relatif lebih padat dan kompak.
