English: Talempong is a traditional music instrument from Minangkabau, West Sumatra, Indonesia. There are various ways of playing this small kettle gong instruments in Minangkabau. Talempong pacik is a way of playing talempong while holding the instruments with your hands. there would 2-3 players holding the talempongs and played it during a parade. On the picture, a man played a set of Talempongs in a musical performance at Pagaruyung King's Palace, West Sumatra. The man and his team are from Sanggar Sari Bunian, Andaleh, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra.
