Summary

Description
English: In its heyday the Smallwood store was the only source for dry goods and mail for the local settlers for more than 50 miles. To obtain these necessities many of these settlers arrived at the store by boat and this is the view they would have seen upon arrival. Today visitors may still sail into the floating dock, climb the stairs and enter the store that today is a museum. Visitors may still get a cold drink and hear all the local news. Even after more than 100 years the old store is still serving the community. Some things, never change.
