Guymon Patrick Casady (born 12 March 1969)[1] is an American media executive, motion picture and television producer and talent manager. Casady is a four time Emmy Award-winning and originating co-executive producer of HBO's Game of Thrones, which holds the distinction for being the most Emmy award-winning scripted series in television history.

He is the originating producer of Steve Jobs, which was nominated for two Oscars; Hope Springs, which was nominated for a Golden Globe; Office Christmas Party; Deep Water; Bruised; and The Fall Guy. He originated and was an executive producer on the $800M grossing franchise The Expendables. In television, Casady is also an originating and executive producer of the television series The Terror, now in its third season for AMC; and the multiple Emmy winning Ripley for Netflix. Casady is a founding partner of top management and production company, Entertainment 360, in Los Angeles, California.

Education

Casady graduated from University of San Diego High School[citation needed] and earned a B.A. in European history and art history from the University of Pennsylvania. He was a U.S. Junior National rowing champion in the 4 with coxswain.[2]

Career

Casady began his career in Hollywood working as an assistant in the Motion Picture Talent Department at Creative Artists Agency.[3] He left CAA to work for Propaganda Films CEO Steve Golin. He was promoted to a development/production executive and worked on The Game and Being John Malkovich.[citation needed] Casady left Propaganda to work as a manager at Industry Entertainment.[3] On November 13, 2002, Casady, Eric Kranzler and David Seltzer left Industry Entertainment to start a new venture, Management 360, a start up talent management production company they cofounded with Suzan Bymel, Evelyn O’Neill, and Daniel Rappaport.[4] Shortly after forming Management 360, the company signed an overall production deal with Warner Bros. Studio on July 7, 2003.[5]

From 2011 to 2017, Casady produced MPTF’s annual Reel Stories, Real Lives evening to raise money and build next generation awareness for the organization.[citation needed] In 2008, Casady was included in Variety’s first annual Dealmakers Impact Report. In 2024, he executive produced the Universal Studios movie, The Fall Guy, which starred Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. [citation needed]

Personal life

He is the son of Janed Guymon and Kent Casady. His mother Janed is the granddaughter of Edward "E.T." Guymon, after whom the city of Guymon, Oklahoma is named.[6] He is married to Robyn Norris Casady, and is the father of Ford and Boone Casady.[2] His late grandfather was the journalist and politician Simon Casady.[7]
