Details
editIt is known to occur in Mexico within tropical deciduous forests in the states of Colima, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Jalisco, Morelos, Oaxaca, and Michoacan. The holotype was a female collected in Cocula, Jalisco. It is easily identified by dorsal red stripes bordered by white and a ventral red hourglass. The discovery of this species brought the Latrodectus species count for Mexico to four.[2]
