Nande Mabala (born 16 July 1998) is a South African model and influencer.[1][2] She was the second Runner-up of Miss South Africa 2023.[3][4] After the Miss South Africa 2023 competition, she was named the first Runner-up of Miss World SA 2024.[5][6] She is the face of Bella Collection and also appeared on magazine covers like Bona Magazine, Glow and Sowetan etc.[7]

Early life
editMabala was born and bred in Zwelethemba, Western Cape, South Africa.[8] Mabala holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology, Political Science, and Sociology from the University of Western Cape.[9] In 2021, she co-founded the non-profit Uyathandwa Foundation whose mission is to empower and advocate for all historically disadvantaged groups in South Africa.[1]

editMiss South Africa 2023
editMabala was the 2nd Runner-up Miss South Africa 2023, held at the SunBet Arena in Menlyn, Pretoria, on 13 August 2023,[10] competing against seven other contestants.[11] She had been previously announced as one of the 30 semifinalists in May 2024.[12]
Miss World SA 2024
editIn October 2024, Mabala was named the 1st Runner-up of Miss World SA 2024,[2][13] held at Sun City on SABC 3. Following this placement, she visited Buffalo City to speak with young people to inspire them to pursue their goals.[14]
