Almaty
editWhat is the Wikipedia policy on names of places that have changed since the event involved? I thought the policy was to give the then-current name with the present name in parentheses. At the time of the earthquake, Almaty was called Verniy. Kdammers (talk) 15:26, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
Kaindy landslide and Its Aftermath
editNo mention is made of the Kaindy landslide also forming a natural dam on the Kaindy River and forming Lake Kaindy with its sunken forest, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Kaindy. As a minumum there should be a quick mention and a link to the article on the lake. 2600:1700:A9B0:527F:BD42:6E37:F62E:D8C5 (talk) 07:33, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
