On the pages Heineken and Beer it is stated that Anheuser-Busch is the largest brewer, with Heineken being second. Mids 14:40, 19 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I have unwiki'd this link because it redirects to this article. Please do not relink it without creating a separate article, thank you. --NEMT 16:24, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Natural Light link needs to be unwikied again.... When I search for natural light I want visible natural light... Like what the sun makes, you know? 19:19, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Organization

edit

This page is pretty disorganized. Modification should start with a standard infobox (e.g., see Starbucks). The beer types should be moved out of the info box to a section. I will take a stab at a corporate leadership section, but am not sure I have precise info. TonyTheTiger 23:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't this beer fall into the Light Lager category? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rtcpenguin (talkcontribs) 03:07, 25 October 2006

Natty Ice redirect

edit

Natty Ice redirects here, and is not mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.186.65.91 (talkcontribs) 22:31, October 26, 2006

Natty Ice == Natural Ice. Look again. Jonheese 21:19, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

The beverage list reads like an advertisment. Perhaps the extraneous adjectives should be removed, and a simple description of the beverage and the market(s) it can be found in should be all that is displayed. - mrmcderm —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrmcderm (talkcontribs) 09:54, October 30, 2006

This whole article reads like a PR Statement. User:Alohawolf — Preceding undated comment added 02:19, November 12, 2006

NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT

edit

If it seems to read like an advertisement, then you haven't realized the glory of AB products. Sorry if the article seems to be tooting AB's horn, but they really do manufacture the best beers in the world —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.245.244.136 (talkcontribs) 08:18, December 24, 2006

NOT! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.248.246.134 (talkcontribs) 18:09, February 23, 2007

This point needs to be argued. While their Pale Ale is pretty good (and, unfortunately, nearly impossible to find these days) and regular Michelob is marginally drinkable, all other AB products are, at best, tolerable or worse. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.174.132.238 (talkcontribs) 00:42, January 7, 2007

PR statement

edit

Anything added seemingly comes directly from AB. Sadly I didn't have enough time to revert, and it would appear there are too many additions now to do so. I hope most of the additions were actually removals of the stuff that sounds like advertising. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.24.117.69 (talkcontribs) 13:38, November 19, 2006

It's too bad about half the posts on this talk page are unsigned, that might help me understand the specific issues with this article. As it is, I've added this to my articles-to-improve list. It does certainly need some work. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jjacobsmeyer (talkcontribs) 09:53, 11 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

Winter Bourbon Cask Ale

edit

I believe Anheuser-Busch also makes this, anyone clarify? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.140.172.84 (talkcontribs) 22:15, March 16, 2007

Yes, Anheuser-Busch does make Winter Bourbon's Cask Ale along with other seasonal beers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.7.112.124 (talkcontribs) 14:47, April 15, 2007

Revision 23 May 2007

edit

Deleted the infobox on beer (though it makes me question why it exists, if every beer infobox is treated like an advertisement), but most of it existed below anyway. Did not see anything from a biased point of view (go look at the Bacardi article, someone compared the point of view similar to that of saying that Volkswagen supports the Nazi Party), so both tags were removed. Before adding these tags back, please state here why and PLEASE sign your edits. Zchris87v 05:06, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Addition to the History Section

edit

I think there should be an addition to the history section of this page. Anheuser-Busch has been or was (I am not sure if this situation has been resolved) involved in a battle over the right to the name "Budweiser," which was also being used by a Czech brewery at the same time. From what I have read, this problem was first realized in 1870. This is an interesting bit of the company's history that, I think, should be included in the article. Any thoughts? Beverage products

edit

At the end of the beverage products section it is incorrectly stated that Anheuser-Busch is responsible for the brewing of (among others) Stella Artois, Beck's, Hoegaarden and Leffe. I believe all this beer brands are owned by InBev one of the main competitors of Anheuser-Busch. I am deleting the aforementioned brands and would like someone with better knowledge of other brands to check the list. Thanks! Lathrop1885 00:29, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why do some of the links in the above mentioned section redirect to the top of the page? it seems pointless. 69.131.125.75 (talk) 02:42, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Anheuser-Busch acquired Stella Artois, Beck's, Hoegaarden and Leffe in the first quarter of 2008 and can be fact-checked at www.anheuser-busch.com under their brands tab. ~Anheuser-Busch Employee —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.225.144.124 (talk) 05:59, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Noted that Stella, Becks, etc are distributed in America by AB, but are not owned or brewed by them. See (http://www.anheuser-busch.com/Press/euro_importbrands_113006.html). Added a note to the section of the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.187.242.111 (talk) 01:42, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deal

edit

The proposed deal between Anheuser-Busch and InBev has not been approved by either shareholders or regulators (both of which are required). There is no company called Anheuser-Busch InBev and there will not be for some time (if ever). Thus, I have nominated Anheuser-Busch InBev for deletion and corrected the Anheuser-Busch and InBev articles to make it clear the deal is not complete.

Of course, if/when the deal does go through the articles should be modified to reflect that and Anheuser-Busch InBev can be recreated. Superm401 - Talk 16:12, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I second this. Company doesn't exist 'yet'. Jtoto 2002 (talk) 22:05, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Amen. There is no reason that page should have been created at this time. KansasCity (talk) 06:22, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
