Talk:Attitude and heading reference system

I think this stub only addresses one side, the commercial system. It also needs to adress the algorithm.Degens (talk) 11:59, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Added a link to an Open Project, added a couple of refs, well help sort this out.

This article needs to be more than a stub, I will address this also. This is important technology and all we have is a stub? Algorithms need to be addressed for sure, specifically looking to add information on how an AHRS works with cites, I will add this but need to put the kids to bed now. Added difference between IMU and AHRS, removed link to an IMU project that is not an actual AHRS, but an IMU as even stated in the link to product. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.163.205.17 (talk) 22:05, 22 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

This article could link to various implementations of AHRS under a title that indicates such. Furthermore, they should indicate their accreditation for operation e.g has relevant authorities approved the code. RodderAUS (talk) 03:24, 31 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Heading, Pitch, Yaw?

edit

I think this should actually state:

  • yaw, pitch, and roll
  • heading, bank, and elevation

Yaw and heading are the same thing. Granitepeak99 (talk) 20:13, 8 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

They're not the same thing. Yaw is a change in heading. Andy Dingley (talk) 20:29, 8 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Should state; Yaw - rotation about a vertical axis Pitch - rotation of an airplane about its lateral axis Roll - rotation about the longitudinal axis. 198.103.96.11 (talk) 19:13, 23 June 2015 (UTC)flyrfixrReply
