Echolalia?

edit

Could Bubby’s condition be properly described as echolalia? Sanderling 02:16, 27 November 2006 (UTC) More like an idiot savant! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.208.220.32 (talk) 11:48, 29 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Taboo subject?

edit

"Bubby became notorious for pushing the boundaries of good taste with its strong scenes featuring violence, incest and atheism amongst other taboo topics." I hardly think that atheism is a "taboo subject". DuncanHill 00:20, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Indeed atheism is a taboo topic, especially within the context of this film which was mainly concerned with blasphemy (I believe the line is "God be a worthless cunt.") The criticism of any religion is that of taboo, more so when it's put so bluntly. The KZA 01:38, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
If violence, incest and atheism are taboo, most films made for (ahem) adults deal with taboo topics. 86.177.102.112 (talk) 13:46, 22 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Claims of animal abuse may be false...?

edit

This site [1] claims: "The feral cat killed in the movie was killed humanely by a vet, and not suffocated as depicted in the movie. The same cat was used both when it was alive and after it had been put to sleep. The kitten depicted to be killed later in the movie was not feral, and was not really killed, it was only sedated." 2A00:23C5:FE0C:2100:28B0:6FB0:657F:C199 (talk) 14:19, 17 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Italian?

edit

Does a producer from Italy putting in money partway through production really make this an 'Australian-Italian film'? Money for films often comes from all different sources, particularly today, and it seems off and confusing to me to use that alone to introduce this film as an 'Australian-Italian film.' 180.150.39.36 (talk) 21:20, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I think you're right. Sources describe the film as simply "Australian" ([2][3][4][5]), so I've edited accordingly. Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 09:16, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
