Talk:Cap cai

Point?

edit

this whole article could be reduced to "chop suey, indonesian-style".

"cap cai" and (samoan) "sapasui" are just modified spellings of the term "chop suey". ditto japanese "zosui", actually, altho a case could be made that that at least is a radically different dish. not so for cap cai and sapasui, which are still basically chop suey. 209.172.25.1 (talk) 05:50, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Requested merge with chop suey

edit

This is just a variant of the same dish that happened to develop in two different countries out of a means of circumstance. See also the above IP address' discussion. Sapasui (Samoa) currently redirects to chop suey. Zosui (Japan) is an own page, but again, it could be a case of a radically different dish.

To me at least, they clearly look same to me, and probably taste same too. If you believe this is radically different enough to have its own article, I am curious for why you believe this. Lan Pee (talk) 05:07, 29 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Are there any sources that actually identify these dishes as being the same? signed, Rosguill talk 20:34, 12 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oppose, given that the claim of equivalence is based on POV without reliable sources in support. Klbrain (talk) 21:10, 18 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
