Unencyclopedic
editand why is this important for wikipedians to know??? STRONG DELETE -ForrestLane42 13:51, 19 December 2006 (UTC)ForrestLane42
ForrestLane42 - You have not used the correct process for the deletion of a page. Please read this article on the Deletion Process. I have written more on your talk page. --Backface 13:03, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
thanks, Backface, you are correct, my bad. I put the tag back on. I would like to look into how to perform a speedy deletion of this page after a reasonable debate whether this page should remain or not. ForrestLane42 04:24, 26 December 2006 (UTC)ForrestLane42
Removing Tag
editI'm removing this tag for the following reason: Festival is notable on the face of it, has a 15 year history and impressive institutional sponsorship, and has had an impressive roster of speakers every year.
The article may need to be expanded to make this clear, but it's not a speedy deletion candidate.
ForrestLane42, if you still want to pursue this, the proper procedure is not to reinsert the unencyclopedic tag or any other speedy-deletion tag. Instead, open an "Article for Deletion" (afd1) or "Proposed Deletion" (prod). Do this with a tag like this:
{{subst:afd1|<concise reason here>}} (or) {{subst:prod|<concise reason here>}}
This will open a proposed-deletion discussion in the appropriate place, and at the end of 5 days or so, an admin will assess the comments that have been made and either delete the article or not. (Personally, I don't recommend doing this since I think the consensus will be a clear Keep, but I could be wrong.)
Cheers, everybody, in this season of peace. Eleuther 04:43, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Out of date info
editI've just marked the word "now" with the "when" template, in the section § Stages, Sights & Sounds. That content is out of date, if 2009 was the first year and "now" is the third year - in 2018. yoyo (talk) 11:31, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
