This statement

edit

"During her tenure as minority leader, she engaged in dilatory and quorum denial tactics in an attempt to thwart legislation sponsored by Democratic members of the lower state house chamber." First, I don't see a cited source for this statement. Second, even if this is true why include that statement? How is it relevant? These are basic political tactics of a minority party. The Oregon House of Representatives has 60 members and requires a quorum of 40 votes (3.01 Quorum (1) A quorum of the House is forty members) https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/chief-clerk/Documents/Rules%20-%20Color%203.pdf . The current makeup is 37 democrats and 23 republicans. Convince 3 more to join your cause, otherwise compromise. Either way, it's a stupid statement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.180.228.230 (talk) 01:13, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

New information

@Justifycvs: There are problems with the information that you added. The list of legislative votes you added includes stuff far too minor for mention such as "legislation to publicize information on student fees at Oregon Public Colleges, Extend boundaries of Community College districts". Her not being an election denier is a good addition, but I suggest that it be reworded to "Drazan does not support Donald Trump's claims of having won the 2020 presidential election." • Also the "Drazan's colleague, Senator Brian Boquist, cited the original precedence when Democrats, supported at the time by Kate Brown, staged a walkout to protest efforts by the then-majority House Republicans to redraw Oregon's legislative districts." is useful information, but there needs to be an additional reference for Boquist making the claim. It could be reworded to "Senator Brian Boquist cited the Democrats' 2001 walkout to prevent the Republicans from redistricting as precedence." Jon698 (talk) 05:10, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
