I added a DC coupling section to the common drain, common source, and common gate pages - I think it is worth mentioning that they can be setup without the AC coupling.

On this page I tried to add a little information about distortion and how it relates to source degeneration. If it is too in depth for this page that is fine or if you think it should be moved to a separate section on its own that would also make sense to me.

This page does not have much to say about frequency response - is that desired or is the idea to keep this page simple?

Please add as much information to the page as you can. Don't be shy. If it gets too technical or too in-depth, we can move the content to a new, specialized page. — Omegatron 19:27, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Added the Frequency response.

edit

I have added the approximate frequency response. I have not mentioned the approximations that I have made while arriving at the expressions, as I thought that it will be adding too much theory in one go to the page. If anyone feels otherwise, feel free to edit.

input resistance

edit

i think the input resistance is high too, is this correct? Tbonetime 13:26, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Until you consider the parasitic capacitances and leakages (i.e., when you consider the ideal caseS), the input impedance is infinite. In other words, the input current is ALWAYS zero. — TedPavlic | (talk) 19:12, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mitigating the Miller effect

edit

There is a more complete discussion of solutions to the Miller effect in the bandwidth section of the common emitter page. The brief discussion here makes it seem like there's only one way to solve this problem. Perhaps something like the common-emitter Miller effect discussion should be added here. — TedPavlic | (talk) 19:00, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
