rename article with full name?

edit

I guess if he was know for his role on Glee using his full name before anything else, should we rename this Finneas O'Connell or just leave it?Melodies1917 (talk) 19:53, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

I moved the page. It seems Finneas O'Connell himself is the only person who uses the mononymous "Finneas". All other sources use his full name. GodsPlaaaaan (talk) 16:08, 7 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
I'm very late in seeing this, but thanks for this. Melodies1917 (talk) 14:53, 18 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Lillie Eilish

edit

"Lillie Eilish" is listed as Finneas' sister in the sidebar, but there doesn't seem to be any evidence that such a person exists, save for a few joke posts on Instagram by fan accounts. I think this should be removed unless it can be confirmed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.98.251.227 (talk) 19:33, 8 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Finneas O'ConnellFinneas – There are currently 4.1 million Google results for his given name (of which he is the only notable bearer), vs. 1.3 million for his full name. His official website, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram all use the mononym, and he has now appeared on the Billboard charts as Finneas. While I certainly understand where there was previously debate over which name to use, I think this grown into a fairly clear case of WP:COMMONNAME. 5 Grammy Wins Or 6?

edit

I talked about this on the 2020 Grammy Wikipedia page as well, but there seems to be a discrepancy amongst sources as to whether Finneas won 5 or 6 Grammy awards. In the lead for this page it states that he won 6 Grammy's, however in the Awards and Recognitions table at the bottom of this article it only lists 5 awards that he has won. This inconsistency is present on the 2020 Grammy's page as well. I have not been able to find a source that states what 6 Grammy's he won, only ones that list all 5. Should both pages be changed to state that he only won 5 Grammy's? Chukulem (talk) 23:45, 27 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Most reliable sources put his with 5 nominations and 5 wins. Per Grammy rules he is theoretically eligible for the 6th on the Pop Vocal, but is not listed as such. The Grammy site actually had him with 5 wins until sometime prior to August, although currently does not list him with more than five. There is no announcement/declaration of his sixth win, just assumed synthesis based on Grammy rules/guidelines.--☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 00:39, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Update: Grammy DB now lists with six awards including Pop Vocal.--☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 00:44, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
