editThe page is currently under construction, we are transforming the subsection Gender and food security#Gender and global food security policy into its own page, based on the importance of the topic and length of the Food security article. CaroEhr (talk) 14:54, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- Dear CaroEhr, I changed few words from the introduction to fix small grammatical mistakes. Seul0417 (talk) 01:24, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
Dear everyone, to tackle the second section on availability I would propose to divide it into Access to Land / Access to Markets (incl. crop types) / Access to extension services, technology and education and make an individual session on Access to finance. Who would take which part? CaroEhr (talk) 17:49, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
- Dear group-mates, if there is no volunteer for access to land, i can take that part.. Best,BurcuMentes (talk) 18:01, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Hei girls! We should also add some pics, does anyone know where to find "free" pics? I also just added categories, but perhaps you want to add more or differents ones. CaroEhr (talk) 20:27, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
Dear all, I will take Access to extension services, technology and education. Concerning pictures, I will send you a separate message. Seul0417 (talk) 14:19, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
- I'll take access to marketsCaroEhr (talk) 18:00, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
- What should we do about the part on time constraints? Is it sufficient to cover it under the access to food section? Also under Access to tech etc. there is a part on macroecon policy, going with another part we put under Global food security policies so far, should we turn that into a separate section?CaroEhr (talk) 20:42, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
- Rereading the macroecon parts, I guess they are also related to stability, if you want I could summarize it in two sentences under my section on economic and financial crises. I guess this does not do full justice to the topic, but as the both sections (the one under access and policies) are only based on one source (I found one other source), I do not think we have the time to expand more on it now.CaroEhr (talk) 20:07, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- Time constraint can be handled within Access to food Seul0417 (talk) 16:53, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Hei! I'd be happy about some feedback on the macroecon policies, we might also want to ensure our table of contents does not get too long. Does anyone know how to hide, e.g. level 3 headings?CaroEhr (talk) 19:48, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
- Just a small reminder: as we need to change the current sub-titles under availability part (for instance land rights and inheritance to access to land), do you think whether it leads to confusion with main Access part? BurcuMentes (talk) 21:22, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
- It might indeed be a bit confusing, I do not think we need to change all the titles in "access to", I did it for markets because I did not come up with another title.CaroEhr (talk) 21:34, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
- Me again on the macroecon policies, they do not seem to be plagiarised, as muchs of the other existing material was, so I assume we can leave them as they are and possibly, if you have time adapt a bit more to the sections in which they are placed now. CaroEhr (talk) 21:47, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Dear all, access to extension services, technology and education has been edited. I cut out the access to credit part as it is addressed again under access to finance. Seul0417 (talk) 00:50, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
- Just for public goods, the footnote 23 in access to finance needs correction! Seul0417 (talk) 00:55, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
- I changed the reference, Mehreen, I hope it was okay that way178.193.81.6 (talk) 13:53, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
Biased article
edit"Women play an important role in food production, processing, distribution and marketing. They often work as unpaid family workers, are involved in subsistence farming and represent about 43% of the agricultural labor force in developing countries, varying from 20% in Latin America to 50% in Eastern and Southeastern Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa."
- In other words, according to this paragraph own numbers, men play more important role in food production. Even though the article is not titled "Women and food security", it's "Gender and food security", I see that you are dead set to fixate on only women. Why are you so biased?
