Talk:Hammock (ecology)

This article is copied more or less verbatim from [1], which as a product of the National Park Service is in the public domain. It needs considerable work. -- Donald Albury 03:20, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is a related article at Tropical hardwood hammock. There also maritime, or coastal, hammocks, mesic temperate hammocks, and oak-cabbage palm-saw palmetto hammocks, just in southern Florida. Maritime hammocks occur along most of the Atlantic coast of the U.S., and along the gulf coast. I presume the type is global, but I don't know what they are called outside the U.S. This all needs work. -- Donald Albury 13:18, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
