"Examples" problem
In the Examples section, there is a headline that is supposed to include "all three Japanese scripts (kanji (red), hiragana (blue), katakana (green)), as well as the Latin alphabet and Arabic numerals (black)":
(translated as "Radcliffe to compete in Olympic marathon and 10,000 metres")
The problem is that this headline doesn't actually use the Latin alphabet at all (it uses the numeral "1", but that's not a letter). A prior version of the headline did use the Latin alphabet:
(note the use of the letter "m" which I take it is used as the abbreviation for "metres")
But that was changed in this edit in 2019. I have no idea what the Asahi Shimbun headline on 19 April 2004 actually said, but either it did use the Latin alphabet "m" or it didn't. If it didn't, it would be preferable to find a different headline which does use the Latin alphabet in addition to kanji, hiragana, and katakana. But if it did, then Wikipedia editors shouldn't be changing what the headline actually said since this is supposed to be a direct quote which illustrates the use of all four writing systems together.
I can't read Japanese, but if you tell me that a sentence of Japanese contains use of the Latin alphabet and I can't find any letters from the Latin alphabet there, I'm going to be really confused. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 01:45, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
