Pyrenees origin
editThis article is really cute. But the story is not originated from a village in the Pyrenees mountains. It exists in almost all the countries of the world, or in all the places where bears used to live. There are dozens of different versions of it. editThe version by schoolteacher named "Lafond-Paquin, Janel" with a copyright（c） mark is a privately retold version, possibly a composite. This is not really suitable for use.

Bear's ears
editThe File:JeandelOurs.jpg illustration gives Jean de l'ours "(teddy) bear's ears".
But I don't think this is supported by any traditional texts. So I felt compelled to include a caveat saying this is an "artist's visualization". If such a caveat isn't going to be used, I don't think the picture should be used at all, since it gives the misleading impression that this is how the character is described in the folktale.--Kiyoweap (talk) 03:09, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
