editI'd like to suggest some edits for this article! Disclaimer: I work for the same organisation as John Appleby. I noticed that the article is poorly written, referenced and linked and just wanted to suggest better sources and references.
The bulk of the article seems to be taken from other sources (http://www.innovationdebate.com/2013-panellists/professor-john-appleby and http://www.kingsfund.org.uk/about-us/whos-who/john-appleby and http://www.pieria.co.uk/experts/John_Appleby). For the sake of neutrality, would it be better for this to be written independently?
The other organisations that he is affiliated with have their own websites which might be better and more useful references: City University: https://www.city.ac.uk/arts-social-sciences/economics/research/city-health-economics-centre Marmot Commission: http://www.kingsfund.org.uk/press/press-releases/kings-fund-response-marmot-review-health-inequalities (see notes to editor) Independent review of health and social care services in Northern Ireland: http://www.dhsspsni.gov.uk/appleby-report.pdf Rapid review of Northern Ireland health and social care funding needs and the productivity challenge: http://www.dhsspsni.gov.uk/final_appleby_report_25_march_2011.pdf NICE Safe Staffing Advisory Committee: http://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/sg1/chapter/7-Contributors-and-declarations-of-interest
Additionally, the selection of publications listed on this page is a little unrepresentative and out of date; a more up to date list can be found on The King's Fund website: http://www.kingsfund.org.uk/about-us/whos-who/john-appleby
Another additional link for the external links page could be his Twitter account: http://twitter.com/jappleby123
