Operation Henpeck
editOperation Henpeck
editFascinating name, not one you'd get away with today. But Henpeck seems to have been an operation for moving the families of personnel serving in Austria and, per the text of the Kingswood obituary cited as a reference, it was his new "very pretty young" wife who joined him there as part of Operation Henpeck. Reword somehow? It sounds like he was part of the allied occupation of Austria (presumably spouses weren't sent over while fighting was still happening).
