Inline citations

edit

This page has been tagged by Oniongas, for lack of inline citations.

Basically all of the information in this article has been obtained by interrogating the WTA and ITF databases, at the links provided.

Those are script-driven sites, so it would be difficult to provide URLs for all of the skerricks of information that have been gleaned from various WTA and ITF search results.

For instance, when a request is made to view the doubles results for a particular player for a particular year on the WTA site, the URL in one's address field remains http://www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/2/players/playerprofiles/PlayerActivity.asp: it's not a URL that will actually take you to see the results.

In summary, although it is true that the article lacks inline citations, there's not much that can be done to improve this, and hence I would ask that the tag be removed.
