editNot that I care, but portions of this bio are very obviously lifted from other websites. I googled one of the more colorful excerpts, "musical underground. Oddly, it presented itself from outer space in the form of satellite radio." and it comes up at rickspringfield.com and other sites. Just sayin. tharsaile (talk) 12:05, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Birth year missing
editOctober 11 of what year? Crackthewhip775 (talk) 01:30, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Factually wrong
editThis sentence:
He is best known as one of the original five VJs on MTV, from 1981-1987. He was the first of the five to be broadcast, and introduced the channel's first video, "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles, on 1 August 1981.
...is factually wrong. I made an edit to correct, but the edit was reverted. Why? Because I linked to the video, proving that it was wrong -- but apparently even linking to video is frowned upon. That's fine, but don't revert the other changes.

- No one* introduced the Buggles video. It appeared before any VJs appeared. Also, due to technical issues, Mark was the *last* VJ to be introduced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.190.148.239 (talk) 14:47, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Also factually wrong
editI removed a line indicating that he was in the movie "Don't be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in the hood." Can find no mention of him appearing in this movie on imdb and this appears to be enough evidence to refute an unsubstantiated claim. [1]
Birthyear correct?
editHis profile on IMDB says that he was born in 1950, not 1952. Which is it? Does anyone have an authoritative source? sydbarrett74 (talk) 02:46, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
Woodstock vid?
editMark Goodman is, I'm sure, not a unique name, but he seems likely to be the same who hosted/narrated PBS' recent video 'Woodstock: 50 Years Later'. rags (talk) 14:41, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
