Rita Faltoyano

edit

From an interview I found on-line with Rita, I added a bit which I found rather questionable. In her talk with Qlimax she says "my Mom was Miss Hungary 1974". Yet a check on this page listing the various Miss Hungarys shows that there were no winners between the end of WW2 and 1985. Can anyone suggest how to reconcile the two in some way other than calling Rita a liar? Tabercil 03:07, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

It is sure, there was NOT Miss Hungary contest in 1974. Maybe her mother was the Belle of the Anna-ball. What is her mother's name? Perfectmiss

Cleanup 2007

edit

This article (mainly written by me) needs a cleanup. What kind of cleanup? Grammar, spelling, or anything else? I admit, my English is not the best. Perfectmiss 10:29, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Well, I can point out one item which needs doing, and you're not going to like it... The Manual of Style here on Wikipedia that governs how lists are done states that "Items should be listed in chronological order of production, earliest first.". So you're going to have to turn all those lists around so the earliest contestant is first (e.g., for Miss Universe Hungary, Dora Patko would be at the top of the list and Ildiko Bona would be at the bottom). • I see. But I think there are some things, in which the reverse order is better, because if anybody is interested in beauty pageants, he/she wants to know the name of the reining queen first. I think in similar cases the reverse order is more user-friendly then the normal order. Perfectmiss 09:51, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Well, you still need to reverse the list order. Look at the Miss America article for example - the list there is chronological. If you want though, if there is a reigning Miss Hungary, you can put her name in the introductory text: "The reigning Miss Universe Hungary is Idilko Bona". Tabercil 12:11, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Zsa Zsa Gabor

edit

The article currently says: "In 1936 Zsa Zsa Gabor won the title". But the article Zsa Zsa Gabor says: "In January 1933, following her time as a student at a Swiss boarding school, Gabor placed second runner-up in the fifth Miss Hungary pageant, behind Lilly Radó and crown winner Júlia Gál." It quotes https://books.google.com/books?id=cPeiDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA48 as a source. --BjKa (talk) 10:52, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
