Plot Summary
editWhat is the point of a massively overlong (and inaccurate) plot summary and no analysis. I saw the film yesterday and there was no mention of Mildred suffering from syphilis. Maybe that detail is from the book? Also no mention that the hero of the film must be a bit of a masochist to put up with what Mildred puts him through.
