editSeems to me that this is just one way of counting people and should be merged with People counterChaosdruid (talk) 22:19, 10 November 2010 (UTC) Pedestrian detection is central to automated, in-vehicle systems for preventing pedestrian fatalities and injuries, and there is a great deal of published and ongoing research on this application. "People counter" cannot cover all the aspects of "Pedestrian detection", as it is only one application. Pedestrian detection could also mean "Pedestrian localization". In addition, it is a preliminary step of pedestrian trackingHoreshb —Preceding undated comment added 10:16, 9 October 2011 (UTC).
