List of Alumni
editPer the guidelines at WP:WPSCHOOLS/AG#WNTI, I've again removed the list of alumni from this article. Other Stuff Exists, the rationale given for restoring it from its previous deletion, is not a valid reason for keeping the material. -- Mikeblas (talk) 16:25, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- I would like to see more discussion on this. You've removed it twice, including once after I sourced the majority of the entries. Please do no remove again without discussion, and I will alert WP:SCHOOL to this discussion. Rikster2 (talk) 21:26, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Wait a second. In Wikipedia:WPSCH/AG#OS ("what to include") it specifically states that notable alumni SHOULD be included. Rikster2 (talk) 21:33, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Assuming the list is not too long to warrant a spin-off list then the list should be in the article with linked individuals and a reference that supports their link to the school. Keith D (talk) 22:37, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Agree, per the article guidelines if there is a Wikipedia article for them, they can be listed in a "Notable Alumni" section. EyeTripleE (talk) 22:30, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

There should definitely be a notable alumni list per the article guidelines and precedent on many other similar articles like those of universities and cities. Names listed should already have an existing Wikipedia article and the sources used on this article should be clear to identify the person mentioned is, in fact, the same person on the list and not simply a different person with the same name. For instance, in looking at the citations for Guy Primus, I can see why there is some question there since the "old-friends.co" source is just a list of names (no verification it's the same person, though it's not unreasonable to assume it is) and the other sources don't specifically mention him as having gone to this school. While a better source would be preferred, I don't think it's a huge issue unless the article goes to GAN or FAC. --JonRidinger (talk) 14:50, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Excessive detail
editOn a related note, this article has excessive amounts of detail that need to be trimmed, especially educational statistics and past administrators. School articles should be a general summary of what kind of programs are available, the school's history, outstanding achievements, and some general demographic info, not a yearly summary of test results, administrative changes, and enrollment. This includes the infobox. --JonRidinger (talk) 14:50, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
