What

 – Objectionable statement removed.

Since when do young men take out their hair bands to show "dominance" by displaying how long their hair is?

No such statement remains in the article as of this date. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 22:36, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pigtails

edit

Would someone please provide evidence that "pigtails" is not a misnomer when used to refer to two ponytails. Site a source. Just because a lot of people use it, that doesn't make it correct. A lot of people also misuse "irregardless" and "then" when they mean "than," but a lot of people making the same error doesn't make it less of an error. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.170.12.117 (talk) 02:37, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Information that is unverified should be removed. Without a reference source for using "pigtail" in this description, it should be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.129.196.103 (talk) 17:15, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Samurai topknot - glaring omission

edit

The samurai topknot ponytail is almost ridiculously conspicuous in its (sourced!) absence from this article. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 22:35, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Origin?

edit

I find it upsetting that this article does not contain information on the Origins of The Pony Tail. Was it invented by Japanese men in 750 BC? By Russian Children? In The Middle East? Most articles have info on Where Whatever the article is about originated, but this one does not.

I propose the addition of an Origin section, Detailing When and Where The Pony Tail Came from, including if it where invented by men or Woman. 206.75.167.246 (talk) 04:08, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ponytail "equation" !?

edit

Seriously ?

Sounds more like a "phoney-tail equation" . Has anyone checked the alleged scholarly article cited as a reference.. ? It smacks of elaborate hoax.. ( quite funny though ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.112.193.20 (talk) 11:41, 8 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
