editMoving this note to talk, I have no opinion on it:
source should be verified, the vehicle pictured here would be a pre-1957 model given that the beehive taillights were only on 1956 and earlier
cc Mkp20000, see Wikipedia:Accuracy_dispute#Disputed_statement for how to tag these. ℰmi1y⧼T·C⧽ 04:05, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know the answer. However, the article says changes occurred in early 1957. The 1957 US model year must include 1 Jan 1957 and would cover mid-1956 to mid-1957. So a car built in late 1957 or very early 1957 (ie before the changes in early 1957) would be called a 1957 model year by an American and a car built slightly later (mid-1957 to mid-1958) would be called a 1958 model year. This could be a possible reason for the dating issue. Stepho talk 10:00, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Mkp20000 and 3mi1y: I took the photo and thankfully I noted the chassis number, 82948. A quick internet search brings me to this Bonhams auction for the very car, which identifies it as having been built on "the last day of January, 1957". I have removed the note.
