Talk:Shanachie Records

Harvey Pekar as source.

edit

To begin with, HP is no longer with us, and hasn't been for about 6 years, which by itself should make any claims about Shanachie's status sourced to him a little suspect...but then you look at the source itself, and see that it's from '98. This is, at best, proof that someone saw Shanachie as "one of the largest independant[s]" nearly 20 years ago. Anmccaff (talk) 05:55, 29 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Poor Treatment of Planxty?

edit

Can anyone discuss the controversy over the sale of Planxty material by Phil Coulter and subsequent questionable treatment of the original members of Planxty? The only reference I can find is in the documentary, No Disco Documentary (2002–2003), recently uploaded to YouTube.
