Onel5969 has rather belatedly announced on 27 Sep that the Synopsis is too long and there are not enough references, without specifying where.
I accept that the synopsis is longer and more detailed than is usual, though it does not take up an inordinate amount of the article. This is deliberate - it has been said of this play that it is impossible to summarise as so much is going on. I was actually in the cast of the first performance in Perth in 1971, and I can confirm that a great deal was going on, something that Australian audiences of the time were quite unused to. The exposition was in no way linear. Therefore in the spirit of expressionist theatre I have taken the unusual step of describing exactly what was going on - songs, dances, speeches, staging. I do not apologise for this, and hope Wikipedia will tolerate it in this instance. Evadeluge (talk) 23:40, 28 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi. First, it was not "belatedly", but when the article came up in the NPR review queue. Second, this is an encyclopedia, not a thesis on the play. It really needs to get trimmed down. The tag is there for a specific reason. The plot needs to 400-700 words. Third, you have a WP:COI with this article, and should follow the instructions on that page. Personally, I do not add anything to an article about any play I've ever directed/performed in. But please, don't let this discourage you from working on other things within the project. Thankyou. Surprising it has come up so late.
Alright, yes the synopsis is long, but no-one has mentioned there being a recommended length before.
This was one of my first articles and i accept the referencing is a little sloppy, I'll fix.
