Talk:Unit of observation

Spatial-temporal units.

edit

That which we observe in the mind comes from the external world, or from the memory. It consists of pictures or ideas. In each case that which is being observed is limited and it is a static unit located in the ‘now’. The units which can be observed are of two types. One type are the spatial units. These have magnitude and shape manifesting organization of the parts of the unit. The other type, are the temporal units. These also have ‘magnitudes’, but because they do not contain space they have ‘density’ or ‘strength’ of time. Organization of a temporal unit manifests itself as its relationship to the outside world or to the memory. Neither the temporal nor the spatial units are perfect because they are ‘spread’ in the interval of static time ‘now’, where they are given existence by the consciousness of the observer. Merger proposal

edit

I propose that Data point be merged into Unit of observation. I think that the content in the Data point article can easily be explained in the context of Unit of observation, and the Unit of observation article is of a reasonable size that the merging of Data point will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. 187.189.68.37 (talk) 05:26, 15 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
