Fair use rationale for Image:UCFV2websafe300px.jpg
editImage:UCFV2websafe300px.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:39, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
What's in Store?
editI noticed the article reads housing expansion to CF base with an outdated citation. Am I reading this correctly: A provincial institution expands into federal land? Something doesn't sound right there.--Cahk (talk) 05:15, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- The school has purchased defunct CFB Chilliwack land from the federal government, which is still home to a branch of the Army Engineers. As part of a rehabilitation/area conversion project in Chilliwack, much of the old base has been rezoned into a housing neighbourhood. As a student working closely with the administration within UFV, this information is accurate. This wiki needs a lot of revision, it's pretty sloppy. Continuity of identification between Fraser Valley College (FVC), University-College of the Fraser Valley (UCFV) and University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is often botched, and it's almost insulting to anyone who appreciates this school. 70.69.222.191 07:31, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
- I see that you have made some edits to clarify things. I've also made a couple of edits to attempt to deal with the problem you raise about confusion between the college and the university. I've also tried to distinguish what should be in the "History" section and what in "Expanding horizons." Hoping that makes things clearer. Sunray (talk) 08:28, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
Userbox?
editWhile updating my user page, I added a few userboxes to indicate schools with which I've had an affiliation over the years & I noticed that UFV did not have a userbox listed on this page. So I created a rough userbox draft in my sandbox (scroll to the bottom) & I'm wondering how? if? this could be legitimized by UFV & added to the list of other BC educational institutions. Does anyone (following this page) have any insight? Redwidgeon (talk) 04:42, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
