wikibooks anyone?

edit

If there are any wikibooks, or not, can I suggest we create one for this topic? Thanks. 71.35.233.23 03:36, 29 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

excellent idea 4.245.114.63 06:51, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

The article might need to join us in the 21st century

edit

The frames section only mentions wood, not metal or plastic, and the coverings mentions only fabric and leather, not plastic and other artificial whatnot. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.73.48.43 (talkcontribs) 23:45, December 31, 2006

Tools to Clean

edit

In the tools section somebody who knows the correct terms could add the tools needed to clean upholstery.

Suggestion For Specificity

edit

Someone Could Expand The Depth Of The Page By Adding References To Holsters And Sheaths, And Other Leatherworks Such As Gloves, Belts, And Saddles, Or Perhaps By Creating A List Of The Different Professional Modalities Commonly Performed By Upholsterers. Just leaving a note here for anyone watching this page that may be interested and have the requisite expertise: I've placed a request for an article on nailhead trim at Wikipedia:Requested_articles/Arts_and_entertainment#Furniture_design with some potential sources and my notes on them. There's a great potential WP:DYK in an old news article cited by one of those sources about a lightning strike and how it followed the path of a settee's nailhead trim. 166.181.85.205 (talk) 01:07, 16 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
