...this page should have a complete Afanasieff discography, or at least a generally summerial one, not just one of songs he's done with Mariah Carey. --FuriousFreddy 04:31, 30 May 2005 (UTC)
This was far from done, a discography on other acts will be added too. OmegaWikipedia 03:58, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- ...then it should be finished first, and added once it's done. For a mainstream producer who's worked with dozens of recording artists to have a discography in his encyclopedia article that lists every song he's produced for just one artist violates both NPOV and good taste as well. Formulate a list of major records he's done for other people, summarize this list to just major singles, and then add it in. As it stands right now, this "Mariah Carey project" is coming off just a little bit fanboyish without balancing elements or restraint. --FuriousFreddy 14:00, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
<Begin shehn comment> There isn't yet any mention of his work with Michael Bolton. In the liner notes of the "Only a Woman Like You" album, Bolton includes a thank you as follows: "Walter Afanasieff - my brother - how many years - battles have we fought together? Remember that your dream is my dream - to revisit the pure love of music. Thank you for the joy of bearing witness to one of the greatest musical gifts given to this world...you." Although it's true that on this record, Afanasieff only contributes (as both co-writer and co-producer) on two tracks, neither of which was released as a single. But I think this confirms that Afanasieff has had a significant role in Bolton's career and that there are probably other artists as well who have worked with him. </end shehn comment>.
Any photo of him?

Russian American/Russian Brazilian
editSince walter was born to russian parents, i think he should be in one of the categories mentioned above... (though i'm not sure that the "russian brazilian" category even exists...)

- I think Nikitich is his Patronymic (since his father is called Nikita) and not his family name (fortunate the article doesn't say that!) — Mariah-Yulia (talk) 21:07, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Pianist for Michael Bolton; Kenny G
editI took Music Theory in high school with Walter A. He was a lot of fun in the class. An amazing pianist in high school. Anyway I should mention that he also did some credited arranging work for Kenny G. I'd heard that the Michael Bolton work is where Walter A. got his big start: if I remember right he was the pianist on Michael Bolton's tours in the early 80s.
