Citogenesis in the wild

edit
  • Kumouuri: Introduced [1], amended to gosukadik [2], reverted by Visviva [3]. Re-added by the same IP editor [4] shortly after, then sourced the next day (by same IP editor) [5] to a Reuters story [6] that mentions crab fishery but not kumouuri. Picked up by the Telegraph [7] some time on Nov. 23 or 24, changed shortly after (by same IP editor) [8] to point to Telegraph article instead of Reuters. Spread from there to various other legitimate news sources. Remained until removed again [9] on Aug. 20, 2012.
  • Martin Luther's kosher diarrhea: see Talk:Martin Luther and antisemitism. Picked up from Wikipedia by Eric Metaxas in Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy.
  • Rosie the Riveter: see Talk:Rosie_the_Riveter#Recent_edit. [10] [11]. Picked up by Max Hastings, Inferno: The World at War, 1939-1945.
