Originally, I was User:DDHME on this project, I usurped the username Doug in September 2007 and later took the name User:BewareofDoug as a WP:Doppleganger account when I became an admin. Since that time I have registered the name BewareofDoug on several other projects until I could usurp Doug. Pending usurpation of User:Doug on the following projects, I am still BewareofDoug on:
And I will not likely be able to usurp User:Doug on the following projects, where I will remain User:BewareofDoug for the time being:
On the Japanese Wikipedia I was briefly User:JA Doug and I still have that account, but do not use it.
On the Spanish Wikipedia I am User:El Doug.
I have been BewareofDoug on several other projects prior to usurping Doug and I maintain the name BewareofDoug on all projects to protect against impostors, though I do not use the account anywhere other than enwiki and then only for technical purposes (logging in as a non-admin).
I am somewhat active on Commons; on Meta-Wiki and Wiktionary I'm just an occasional visitor. I hope to do more in Wikiversity if they ever let me usurp the name Doug.
I can speak and read a little French and German and speak a tiny amount of Arabic and Korean, and occasionally read a little too; but not really enough to edit.
For an analysis of my enwiki edits see here.
For details on the status of my global account see here.
For quite a while, I did all of my editing, including counter-vandalism completely manually. I was granted the rollback tool on 2008-01-23. I now use, or have tried, a number of other tools listed here with some comments. On 2008-03-20, I was granted administrator tools.
I proposed and organized WikiProject Agriculture. I have been actively involved in the reorganization of WikiProject European history. I rebuilt Portal:Transylvania in response to an MfD, though unfortunately, I don't know enough about the topic to keep it up properly and would love to find someone to help on that. I am involved to some degree in a large number of other projects, some of which are shown at the bottom of the page.
I am most interested in dispute resolution, especially mediation and some of the work I've been involved in is collected here. I'm also very interested in copyright problems and deletion discussions, I'm particularly involved in MfD, where I help maintain the page. My philosophy with regard to deletions and copyvios is "if it can be fixed, fix it" (but I acknowledge that there's a lot that can't be). From time to time, I actually enjoy doing a Full History Merges. Other admin action places I tend to forget to watch but like to help out at are found here.
I am strongly opposed to and will not participate in any sort of formal Admin Recall. If you have a problem with me: 1) tell me, 2) tell another well respected admin, 3) start and Request for comment, or if all else fails 4) start an Arbitration Request. If you tell another well respected admin and he or she feels it's important enough to discuss with me, I promise to take it very seriously, if he or she doesn't tell me that I was in the wrong, you should probably drop it.
I edit in a broad range of topics but particularly in areas covered by projects I'm involved in. I do some counter-vandalism, and I try to copyedit whenever I can, wherever I can. I've rewritten or worked substantially on a small number of articles listed here and I have a few on deck here.
I am a defender of newbies, I always try to make sure that the first message an editor receives is a welcome message, even if their efforts are misplaced. I sometimes mentor editors, past and present are listed here.
WP:ZEN is.
I firmly believe there is only one rule to editing on Wikipedia, one which would serve well in IRL as well. However, if you insist on the long version:

Not that I would expect any, but:
