Gary L Keith II
editMy journey with Wikipedia began years ago, when it was a fledgling platform brimming with potential. Captivated by its spirit of open knowledge and collaborative creation, I quickly became an active member, diving into the vast ocean of information and contributing my own drops of knowledge. From meticulously editing existing articles to forging new ones, I found immense satisfaction in adding my voice to this global chorus of understanding. This passion for Wikipedia extends beyond mere content creation. I actively participate in safeguarding its core values of neutrality and integrity, engaging in constructive discussions and advocating for policies that uphold its high standards. While I may occasionally tinker with fellow editors' contributions, it's done with an open mind and a shared commitment to crafting the most accurate and informative resource for all. For me, Wikipedia is more than just a website; it's a vibrant community where diverse perspectives converge to illuminate the world around us, and I'm proud to play my part in its ongoing evolution.
As one of the world's most popular sites, Wikipedia is subject to many people who think it is a social networking site, an advertising service or a free web host. Wiki get inundated with piles of crap each day. This includes, the things they made up one day, garage bands, websites, companies and organisations that encyclopedia readers don't care about; vanity; spam; nonsense and dreaded vanispamcruftisement. I feel it's my responsibility to help get rid of such "articles".
