How I operate with drafts

as you can see with this page User:Immanuelle/Draft Staggering I have been making an attempt to track my drafts and document when they will expire, alongside staggering them to prevent being overwhelmed at any given time.

My policy with Chinese character drafts up until this point has been bump every character that does not already have a page. I’ve done this because a sizable portion have pages already that I wish to clear.

i am finished with the Kyōiku kanji now. Due to a category being deleted all thousand secondary school kanji will be deleted on the same day, which I’m indifferent to because much fear had any page potential, so with a few exceptions which I have already bumped I will not bump any of them.

Assuming I am allowed to keep using drafts as I please I intend on actively searching through the kyoiku kanji and making decisions on the articles, and letting most expire the second time around. I will look at a few characters a day and make substantial edits to them including comments on my thought process for each character.

This will allow for the development of more substantial reasoning on whether to keep the characters and also help me avoid getting swamped by a large amount of warnings on any given day.

i have already been doing this with my drafts before, but it is not obvious to outside observers who only saw my drafts from the recent glut.

After May 5th 2024 there will be a stark decrease in the amount of draft messages I get. On May 6 I did bump a lot of articles but this will be a day of more bumps. But there will be a large period of little messages at this point.

I'm a little afraid there may be a paradox of me doing so much draft editing due to the ANI that I end up with almost every draft potentially g17ing 5-6 months after the start of it. We will have to see about that

over a week due to the afc backlog drive I got a lot of drafts finished and in mainspace

with the final resolution of the ANI in November 14 I’ve decided not to bump any more drafts and let everything g13 on its own.
