I tend to edit pages I've looked up myself for some reason. If I can see a way to improve the page I do so if I have the time.
My pet hate is articles that assume you already know all about the subject, or are prepared to read the whole thing to find out what they are about. I'd like every Wikipedia article to have a clear opening paragraph that anyone can understand.
