This is in response to the questions at User:Kudpung/RfA_criteria.

I am not a administrator on any Wikipedia and have no such powers. These answers below are intended as humor, not personal attacks, and may nto reflect on how I edit wikipedia, either in the past, present, or in outer space.

Plain Silly

1 (2015) A Wikipedian sneaks into a portaloo at Wikimania and removes the contents left by Jimbo Wales. A home canning outfit is then used, and the results are sold on EBay as "Jimbo Wales's canned sh*t." This attracts mainstream media attention. Can an article be created about the product? Which of our policies and guidelines apply here?

A. GNG, and, ncorporations. However, it would require an AfD debate to see if it is not stupid enough to stay on wikipedia.

2 Your user page indicates that you are a fan of alcoholic beverages. Do you plan on consuming alcohol while editing Wikipedia?

A. You are mistaken. My user page is User:L3X1, and this editor doesn't condone the imbibing of ethanol related products, exceptions for ethnic Germans.

3 What's your favorite Studio Ghibli film?

A. Please link whatever that is so i don't have to type it in the search bar. Then leave whatever bar you're in and walk home or call a cab. Do not further edit while intoxicated or you may be blocked for disruptive editing by my Secretary.

4 Have you ever experienced the white-knuckled exhilaration of eating three bags of prunes?

A. Have you ever eaten a prune?

5 Do you believe you will ever travel outside the Earth's atmosphere during your lifetime? If you turn out to be the first Wikipedia user in space, how might you use this to Wikipedia's advantage?

A. I want to work for SpaceX when I grow up. As an admin who is willing to deal in self blocks, ask me, and I will block from extreme altitude. Then you are eligible for a special UB.

A. My thoughts are immaterial on the subject, as they ALREADY HAVE. Please take a look at this policy WP:CIR, then have a 'nana.

A. Again, I don't care who has accounts, policies reagrding disruptive editing, NOTHERE, and CIR still apply.

A. I endeavour to serve in whatever capacity I am requested.

12 You have been selected to star in a television commercial for Wikipedia. The commercial will feature you finishing edits to an article, and then turning around and triumphantly jumping for joy, which will be shown in slow motion. A. I don't have anything to say, except: Will you be cleansed from your burdens of sin? There is power in the Blood.

13 If you were a station or station complex in the New York City Subway, which one (and only one!) would you be and how does this reflect how you would use the admin bit?

A. If someone visits Norway, can they honstly claim to have visited Norway? WPCIR again.

A. No, yes: Salted redlink.

A. They don't deserve me. You however…

17 How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

A. Wood chucked (∆) is a function of the woodchuck (µ). So ∆*÷856 (.37289∆/98.23 +11µ) = 17. There's your answer.

18 Would you ever block a user just for the hell of it?

A. Would you yell Alahu Ackbar in an aerospatial terminal?

19 Have you ever been in a conflict with me? If not then why not?

A. I don't fight other editors, that is against the point of the project.

20 How has your opinion of Wikipedia changed since you started editing?

A. My awe has grown, that a project could materialise and bring in and hold together so many people for 2 common purposes (vandalism and promotion) is just incredible.

Trick

1. A BLP is up for debate at AfD. The person has seen very significant coverage for one event and enough to meet WP:N for another, independent, event years earlier (say 3 articles each 400 words solely about the topic in reliable, but minor sources). Only after the latest flurry of coverage has an article been created. In the AfD 6 !voters argue for deletion by BLP1E as the first event was minor (and the article was only created due to the second event anyways). 4 argue that that there is more than one event and WP:N is easily met by the two events together (plus was probably met by the first event). How would you close such an AfD and why?

A. A few things: if it was less than 10 days, I'd wait, and possible relist. Else I'd close as Keep or No Consensus, for a few reasons. First, always default to keep. If more discussion is needed, it can be relisted if the noms want to Bludgeon. Second, the 4 !votes (as you, oh faithless scribe) trump the other per COMMON SENSE and simple addition. Also, No consensus always results in a keep.

2. Grateful for your assistance, a Wikipedia user offers to donate $1000 to a charity of your choice. How do you handle this?

A. Ignore or decline. Mixing money and wiki is a slippery slope.

3. If you were to participate in WP:AIV, how many warnings must a vandal be issued before a block is suitable? Why?

A. Depends. Normally I would expect at least two warnings, put in persistent or really major vandalism, block w/o warning. Esp if something had to revdel'd or suppressed. If a IP (suspected to be young child) is posting information they ought not, I would immediately block before they do something more dangerous, both to protect them, and the WMF.

4. What's critically common between the following users? User:Lee_Daniel_Crocker, User:Stevertigo, User:Conversion script, User:Red Bowen, User:TOertel and User:Neutrality

A. None of my business. But they all have e's.

5. Assume that your RfA passed on 4 November 2010. I supported it. On your first day as an admin I have come to your talk page with this message, congratulating you on your RfA and asking for your help with the tools on a matter in which I am involved. I am asking you to consider protecting this page on a Malaysian political party (assume it is on the mainspace). I've been trying to stop the insertion of material by a new editor, User:KMalaysia (see the article's history). I think the material is unreliable and POV. Please (a) respond to my message on your talk page; and (b) describe here what action you would take, if any, in respect of the page and the editors concerned.

A. First off, what does you supporting it have anything to do with anything? Liberty, equality, frat! I could do a few things here:

a. blandly direct you to another admin or RfPP. While I am not involved, it could be construed as you trying to canvas or involve me, using your !vote as leverage to influence my decision in your favor. Recusing myself is the easy way out.

b. Well, ignore the ABF above, I can take your query at face value and respond to it. I will first drop a FULL for 72 hours. With me, disputes END NOW, as in, yesterday. Then I play it by the book; its really quite simple. If 3rr has been broken, warnings, ANEW, and perhaps a block if it come to it. In fact, if you are an expericend content editor, I may solo block you, because you should know better. If you haven't heard of dispute res, or RfCs, then remove the moat from thine own eye, fool. If EW hasn't taken place, I would still protect, and check for discussion. If the new editor is refusing to communicate, via ES, TP, article TP etc, I would short block them for disruption. If discussion is taking place, but to no avail, I would either suggest, or DIY, opening an RfC. In a case of blatant bad edits by either of you, I will pull admin rank by endeavouring to Supervote with clear explanations from the relevant WP, end of discussion. But if it came to handing down judgement, I would still try to bring in other editors, admin or now.

6. You write a BLP article on "Michael Watkins". Six days later, when the article is on DYK, an IP user adds the sentence "In late 2009, Watkins was charged in connection to the 2008 murder of actress Theresa Hutchins, but the charges were later dropped", citing only a gossip mag. This is a pretty well-known fact, and you would have added it to the article when writing it had you been able to fine a reliable source to back it up. You revert the IP's addition under the BLP policy, but xe adds it back again. You revert again, and it is re-added again. You revert again, and the IP re-adds it again. A random admin notices and blocks both of you for edit warring. Who is correct? What do you do?

A. I don't EW, so ask a proper question. The above is why certain multi decade and hundred thousand contrib editors who have get blocked every year and AREN'T admins.

7. The Licensing policy of the Wikimedia Foundation requires that all content hosted on Wikipedia be free content. If this is the case, then why is non-free content even allowed on the project? (Let alone hosted on the Wikimedia foundation's servers) Isn't this a violation of the Wikimedia foundation's policies? Explain.

A. I don't know everything. I'm not the WMF, I don't make the rules, and I really don't care .

Delib. Misleading

1. A user creates an article about an elementary school. What CSD criterion, if any, works with an article like this?

A. Go read what N has to say about schools. NOW. (and the answer is dependent on the content. If attack page G11, if hoax G3, if empty, etc etc.

2. You have been editing an article Article-1, adding information, sorting out layout, etc. Another editor (editor-123) reverts some of your edits, with the edit summary "removing of unsourced information". How do you deal with this, which admin tools (page protection, page deletion, blocking, etc) or other methods you would use to deal with it, and which policies/guidelines/essays you would use in justification?

A. Need more input. Who is e-123? And what do you think? PP won't help. deletion is nonsensical, blocking is against policy unless they are a vandal. Not hard, people.

3. Someone creates an article about a software product you have never heard of. What speedy deletion criteria would you tag the article with?

A. Me hearing of it has nothing to do with the GNG.

4. Agree or disagree: There are active vandals on Wikipedia with over 1000 edits. If you agree, explain in general terms what constructive steps you can take to mitigate the problem. If you disagree, please explain how you arrived at your conclusion.

A. Disagree, because there is only 1 active vandal with >1000k edits.

Time wasting / fishing for advice

1. How would you close the following debates: (i) Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yosef Babad (HTC); (ii) Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sting FM; (iii) Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chrismahanukwanzakah (3rd nomination); (iv) Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Henry d'Agier; (v) Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Participatory Media?

A. Per consensus. Or leave 'em. I'm not the only admin here, am I?

2. What is your personal take on WP:BLP1E?

A. Well, let's read what it says: Being in the news does not in itself mean that someone should be the subject of a Wikipedia article BLP1E is not employed all the times it could be, with SUSTAINED, NSPORTS, and the GNG. If that person otherwise remains, and is likely to remain, a low-profile individual. Biographies in these cases can give undue weight to the event and conflict with neutral point of view. In such cases, it is usually better to merge the information and redirect the person's name to the event article. This is why that dude United threw off the plane redirects to the Flight. If the event is not significant or the individual's role was either not substantial or not well documented. It's really quite simple and clear on the face of it. Provide a tangible example and I could get back to you… if you give me some Pie.

3. Please provide a specific example (aside from WP:SNOW cases in AfDs and RfAs) when you would decidedly employ WP:IAR.

A. When blocking you

4. When patrolling new pages, what things do you look to do and what do you consider before you hit the "Page patrolled" link, or nominate for CSD, or whatever? (I ask partly for my own education, because I've only recently started doing NPP, and a few tips from an admin candidate would be welcome).

A. Google search so see if it exists. Then tag bomb problems which will automatically accept it. I deprecate reviews on something if it is just a really terrible article. I wish there was a CSD for Rubbish and Un-encyclopedic. Remember WP:DIY, you should endeavor to do some cleanup, else you're just a work generator for others; stuffing your contrib log with easy stuff. If it looks fishy, copy and paste a few random sentences/fragments from throughout into a search, either Google or an anti-plagiarism detection website. And don't use PROD, its sneaky and goes against Wikipedia's policies about consensus. PROD is usually described as "uncontroversial" as far as deleting stuff goes, but I really disapprove of it.

5. Did you have any reason in particular for choosing such a "toxic" username as xxxxxxx? – I have no objections to the name, I was just curious.

A. Wot you looking at.

6. What is the copyright status of publications and images from the government of California? Can we use their material on Wikipedia?

A. Without looking anything up, anything done by the government is usually in the public domain. But double check with WP and/or other experienced users, either through a noticeboard or the help desk if you aren't sure. And remember, just because text is in the public domain, doesn't mean you should blatant copy-paste entire tracts into articles. Still follow policies of CLOSEPARAphrasing and QUOTES.

7. If you block someone, do you pledge under the threat of recall to politely and fairly explain each block by writing a one paragraph explanation in all cases except the most obvious serial vandal? If not, why so lazy and uncommunicative?

A. Why so aspersion casting today? Trying to be guinea pig for my new block hammer? i have to practice it on someone.

9. I recently speedily deleted this page that was tagged A7. (and have temporarily moved to my user space for this question.) Was my deletion correct? Why? Why not?

A. I don't plan on spending an abundance of time on CSDs, but give me the link and I'll you my opinion editor to editor.

10. Being given Admin rights is a big privilege, I would like to know how you would respond to say a banned user request to be reinstated? And how you plan on using the right to ban that you will receive?

A: Just to be clear, are you asking about WP:BANs or WP:BLOCKs?

11. The Wikimedia Foundation determines that change is needed, and as an administrator, your first task will be to come up with a new name for Wikipedia. It must be totally new; no "wiki" anything or anything-"pedia". What name do you suggest? Why?

A. Nope, my first task will be to see how fast I can extract an unblock request from you.

12. An editor asks for your help. Falkland Islands sovereignty dispute infobox has a USA flag but it is not the 1831 version, but the 1960 version. Do you reply "^*%&$%^$ off", give an answer, don't give an answer?

A. 24 hour block for having a dirty mind.

13. Could you please explain the use of rollback in edits such as this? Some people choose to use rollback for edits that are self-explanatory. It might be my ignorance and lack of knowledge regarding the subject, but these edits (there are a dozen or so in the last 500 contribs) don't seem like one of those occasions to me.

A. ??

15. While it has been my experience that the corps of administrators includes some wise, patient individuals, it also includes an unfortunate minority who seem to think being given the mop means they are no longer bound by our civility policies and conventions. Personally, I think it is even more important for administrators to always do their best to be civil, because we should be counting on them to set an example for less experienced contributors, and because when they are interacting with non-administrators it is not a fair fight if they get down in the gutter. If you are entrusted with administrator authority will you do your best to always be civil, and to call in another administrator, when you feel tempted to respond in kind to incivility? How would you react if you came across a fellow administrator who seemed to be lapsing from the level of civility, collegiality and AGF you think we should all observe?

A. Yes, absolutely. Go to them on their talk page with a personal version of cease-and-desist, and if they don't heed that (they don't have to, but TALKB4UBLOCK), drag them to AN/I so they can hear community feedback for their transgressions. If they don't take responsibility, I will support bans, blocks, and/or de-sysop-ation.

16. This is (was?) a category administrators could list themselves in, if they were willing to be open to a review of their performance. Do you support this idea, and would you consider listing yourself there?

A. Normally yes. Adminship is how the community shows that they trust me, if they no longer trsut me, they shouldn't have to take to the streets in order to effect a change. However, I plan on working with vandals and other disgruntled users, so publicly listing that I am open to recall is likely to result in a lot of spammed complaints. So, per FRIJOLES, I would not list myself int hat category. I would expect people who have a problem with to me to resolve it in an adult, mature, responsible, policy-following manner, up to and including a recall order. Me wanting to be recalled has 0 bearing on whether or not I am. I am an administrator, not a dictator.

17. Personally I think it is important to approach each question posed to me with an open mind as to whether I made a mistake. I think it is important to be willing to openly acknowledge when I have made a mistake. I think it is important to be willing to try to fix my mistakes. I see these as corolaries of WP:AGF – as efforts to prove we deserve WP:AGF. As above, although our corps of administrators includes some wise and patient individuals, it has been my experience that it also includes an unfortunate minority who follow the meme "never explain, never apologize", who are unwilling or unable to consider the possibility they made a mistake. If you were entrusted with administrator authority would you do your best to approach each question with an open mind? Would you do your best to own up to making mistakes, and be prepared to reverse yourself, and take other measures to clean up after your mistakes?

A. Definitely. We all make mistakes. Even experienced editors make mistakes regarding vandalism/disruptive/unproductive edits. (Guess how I know? and guess why I decided to become a vandal cop?) Everyone should act in a responsible manner when they have made a mistake. We're not weak/lazy/corrupt politicians here, it is ok to apologise.

1. What is your opinion on the current BLP policy, and what work have you done (if any) with BLPs?

A. Its ok. As CVU and NPP I see a lot of BLPs.

2. Do you feel that pages can be moved without a discussion first to form consensus, and do you feel that WP:BOLD overrides that?

A. Yep. There are plenty of non-controversial page moves to be done. Hint: If it says PATROLLED 25/8 by ARMED ARBCOM and WMF WORKING DOGS on the electric fence, it my just a teensy weensy bit controversial to up and move that page to "XYZ is a fast driving, curb hoppin, lights flashin, horn honking, 30 ton dumptruck, so there!" Ya think?

3. What is your interpretation of IAR, and do you think that common sense should automatically overweigh policies in any area on Wikipedia?

A. IAR=consensus, and what exactly is common sense?

4. Say this RFA were to pass, and about a month from now, a user comes to your talk page and asks you, as an uninvolved administrator, to close some long discussion about the non-free image policy. How would you respond to this request?

A. I'd do it, except for the fact I don't deal with images. If thats a trick, its pretty poor. and don't reply with something re: ABF and aspersions because I called that poor

5. Could you give us some examples of what you think are your best contributions to XfD discussions?

A. My normal CSd work through NPP?

Irrelevent or prying into personal opinion

1. Agree or disagree: Wikipedia is a better reference than either Citizendium or Encyclopedia Britannica. Why?

A. Never heard of the first.

3. What is your general philosophy about AfD closings? Are they too often ruled "keep" when the arguments for keeping are too weak? Too often closed as "delete" when the arguments for deletion are not compelling? Too often closed as "no consensus" when the admin doing the closing should actually make a decision? Are your criteria significantly different for MFD closings?

A. Default to keep, and closing admin should formulate "their own vote" when making a hard consensus decision.

4. What are your interests in real life, and the answer can not be Wikipedia. Would you start editing articles with your interest if you pass or fail this RFA?

A. Many things. And no, I'm not into being a hardcore content editor.

5. How did you originally get involved with wikipedia?

A.¿Y'all want my life story? Scott Chantler authored a series Three Thieves (graphic novel series) which I love. Someone wrote a stub about it, and he mentioned it on his blog. I expanded the article greatly, and decided to get an account. Also, Tesla Motors unveiled the Tesla Model 3, so I helped out keeping those numbers up to date. This led to me getting an account, in December of last year I got involved with RCP and CVU. Since then, I got to here.

6. Do you view the glass of water that is Wikipedia as half-full or half-empty?

A. Half full is when your filling, half empty is when draining. The great psychological question about views on life is easily solved with context. So I believe Wikipedia is half-full.

7. In your view is it possible for a Wikipedia article to be the best English language reference on a subject or does WP:Original research make that an impossibility?

A. Yes, no.

9. I would like to inquire whether there are any specific weak points in your work that you feel may lead others to oppose this RfA.

A. ¡Of course not!

10. Do you know any languages other than English?

A. Ja. See my babel boxes.

11. What is your take on the essay "Say no to Commons"?

A. Never heard of it.

12. Do you think the current warning/blocking system is too harsh?

A. Do you think vandals are too easy on CVU?

13. What is your opinion on the double standard between admins and other editors? If an admin was edit-warring with a non-admin, how would you administer the blocks?

A. What double standard? Both people would get the block, and a FULL would get dropped on the article in conflict. I would be tempted to block the admin for a whole week because THEY SHOULD KNOW better, but policy forbids those blocks.

14. Are you an inclusionist? Or a deletionist? Or at what point in between?

A. I am an inclusionist. Now look at my AfD log, 70/30 delete. Does this mean I am a deletionist?? No, the trash must go out. Also, why I nom somthing, it doesn't mean I hate it and want it gone, it means I am not satisfied of notability, and thus cannot accept the article. To accept something I am not convinced about would be derelict of duty. You can also tell I am an inclusionist because I call deletionists "scum" I default to keep. 15. What is your view on the ongoing evolution of WP's policies and guidelines: should they be descriptive or prescriptive? Please provide your reasoning.

A. A mix of both, and no.

16. Do you believe that articles on wikipedia have inherent rights? If so, what are those rights?

A. A right to be patrolled for vandalism, protected against loonies, improved with sources, and deleted.

17. In your opinion, which is the least useful or effective policy or guideline, and why?

A. DENY. No one is quite sure how not to feed the trolls.

18. The RFA process is frequently acknowledged to be a harsh affair, with high levels of criticism of editors, a strong focus on conforming (in actions and answers) to policy strictly to the letter of the law, and a focus on statistics. Do you have any thoughts on how to make the process more open to both specialists (i.e. copyright) and editors who focus on contentious / difficult topics?

A. Sure, less content editors, and more janitor-type editors should run.

A. Its a form of Alex, like this guy I don't admire and Alex Rider.

20. What is the area of Wikipedia you like the most?

A. WP, WPtalk, RfCs, AfDs and vandalism

21. Would you sacrifice your own life to save Wikipedia? Why or why not?

A. I'm the highest scoring guy on the Wikipediaholic test, why throw away my life?

22. Do you believe that "fallen" users can be rehabilitated, and if so, how?

A. Yes, they can spend 6 months muatring, readin policy, repenting, and then come back with a brand new account and not be bad.

23. Do you believe that Wikipedians have rights? If so, what will you do to uphold them?

A. Rights are garbage. You have the right to be indeffed.

A. Huh?

25. What does being an administrator mean to you? Why do you want to be an administrator?

A. Being an admin means to aid editors in solving pproblems and protect both them and the project for malfactors.

26. Not withstanding current policy, what is your personal opinion on this matter? In your ideal encyclopaedia, should someone who meets one of the SNGs but not GNG have an article on Wikipedia?

A. Not sure.

27. Have you ever taken a wikibreak? If so, how often do you take the breaks, for how long on average do they last, and what do you do during one of them?

A. I assume the remaining 148 hours of the week don't count?

28. My support is pretty assured, but someone has to ask this. What is your view on our current notability criteria, particularly with regards to living people?

A. A view from the side.

29. I see from your contributions that you had 2 wikibreaks

A. Yeah, thats called being new and not knowing what to do.

34. Why haven't you created any new articles on subjects you are passionate about?

A. Because those articles exist already.

37. If you had to pick one userbox to add to your user page, which would it be?

A. Do you mean I can only pick one? Or i have to pick one more to add to the preexisting?

43. Should "long-unsourced BLP" become a speedy deletion criterion?

A. No, "flunks the GNG" should.

45. What measures do you think Wikipedia should take to protect personally identifiable information about editors that are under the age of majority, and how will you deal with such cases as an admin?

A. Oversight immediatley.

46. What do you think shows the best totality of your behaviour as an editor?

A. Please clarify.

48. What is your opinion of the current Criteria for Speedy Deletion and how, if at all, would you improve them if the decision was left entirely to you?

A. Lamer than Lame. A7 is not clear enough, and there are two gospels which are followed (and many more false prophets): CA7M and Adam9007's treatise. I would also make a "unencyclopedic" and a rubbish, going to be deleted anyway at AfD, why make me scramble about for basic N criteria when you can just delete it now" criterias.

49. Would you see it as part of the admin role to issue orders, for example, banning a user from a page or topic? If so, what process would you employ?

A. ¿? Community decides on those bans, but it is ok for an admin to jump the gun and hand out a ban in advance for the user's own good, but a block may be more suitable.

50. do you feel that administrators, in general, are too swift or too reluctant to block?

A. Too reluctant: "hasn't vandalised since warning" "not warned enough" "one did one (albeight gross and balatant) vandal edit"

51. If you came across a statement of intent to commit violence – either self-directed or against or other(s) would you contact law enforcement? Why or why not and if yes, under what circumstances?
